NOVEMBER 2010 - Ryan's School Projects

November was an exciting month for Ryan in 2nd Grade! The first picture shows his winning coloring contest picture! His picture was picked by the Beavercreek Fire Department. He had a special pizza lunch with the firemen and other winners!
The second picture is a school project he did. His assignment was to make an addition board game. Ryan picked a sports theme. He designed the whole board - Mom helped draw the lines. He had a pile of addition flash cards if you landed on baseball, football or basketball. If you landed on soccer, you lose a turn (Ryan doesn't like soccer)!
The last picture was a Thanksgiving project Ryan worked extremely hard on. He said he was one of the last ones to finish. The whole turkey is made of beans! We are so proud of all his school accomplishments!

OCTOBER 2010 - Halloween

Ryan and Stella on Halloween! Ryan picked out his costume - he always tries to be something scary for Halloween. Yes, he can see out of his costume! Ryan picked the design on the pumpkin, but had to leave the room while Mom was cleaning it out because it grosses him out! Grandma Orwat decorated our front porch! We love the ghost!

OCTOBER 2010 - Ryan's Birthday Party

Ryan's birthday party was on October 29th. He invited a few friends over, Nick Brown and Ian Long, for a football party! They played football at the pond with Jeremy. Then came home and played more football in the backyard. The boys had pizza, wings and cheese bread from Papa John's for dinner and cupcakes for dessert! Ryan's favorite part of his party was playing football with his friends!

OCTOBER 2010 - Ryan's 8th Birthday

Ryan had a great start to his birthday! He woke up to enjoy opening his gifts from everyone! He was very surprised to get a new TV for his room. We had Direct TV install his outlet a few days later! He loves falling asleep watching TV! He enjoyed his Birthday Cupcake for Breakfast on the 28th, since he had football practice that night! His football team was still in the playoffs that week!

OCTOBER 2010 - Grandma and Grandpa Orwat's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Orwat came out for a visit in October! We kept them busy between football games and practices, watching the Dayton Gems a couple of times and of course taking Ryan to Youngs! This is one of their favorite things to do! Ryan and his grandparents went through the corn maze, which was one of the things Ryan wanted to do this fall! We also appreciate Grandpa working on Stella's electric fence and getting that working for us! It has been so nice letting her explore without a leash...except when she starts digging! Grandma decorated our front porch for Halloween! It was great...so many people commented on how cool our porch looked! Thank you for visiting!

SEPTEMBER 2010 - Our Trip to The Football Hall of Fame

On our way to Canton, Ohio to visit the Football Hall of Fame, we stopped in Columbus to eat at the Thurman Cafe. Man vs. Food at this cafe. He had the Thurmantor...Ryan could barely get his mouth around a regular hamburger! There was a line before they opened at 11:30! It was a cool place to eat!

As we walked through the history of football, Ryan asked why this guy was wearing a cup on his nose! We thought that was hilarious!
Three great quarterbacks...present and future!

Camping at home

We had the best intentions of going camping this summer, but it just didn't work out. With the start of football practice and Mom working on her Master's Degree, we just ran out of time! We did spend the night camping at our house - complete with cooking hot dogs over the open fire, smores and all three of us sleeping in the tent (in our basement)! We did have some different ways to pass the time - like playing the Playstation! :) Next summer, we're planning a camping trip early in the summer before all the craziness happens! Ryan did enjoy the tent in the basement - we kept it up for about 3 weeks!

Smores with the Carmers

A few days after Josh came back from his deployment, we had the family over for smores! The kids - the bigger and smaller ones - loved eating smores! Ryan's $3 yard sale find has been so much fun! It is definitely a tradition of ours to enjoy smores throughout the summer!
