Wind Storm
We had the remnants of Hurricane Ike in Ohio yesterday. We were in a high wind warning for hours! We were picking up pieces of our roof the entire afternoon. Ryan loved being out in the wind! No - it wasn't cold - Ryan just likes wearing his new clothes! We lost our power around 4:30 in the afternoon on Sunday. It came back on about 2:30 Monday morning. We are one of the lucky ones. We still have friends without power this morning. Since the power was out, school was cancelled for Ryan and Mom today! YEAH!! Ryan and the boys next door decided to build forts. They are having a great time!

The Start of School
Hello Everyone!
Ryan had a great time on his first day of school. His school, Main Elementary, does a staggered start schedule. So on Ryan's first day of school, there were only 6 students there. On Friday, Sept. 5th all the students came.
On Wednesday, Jeremy and I had the fun of doing Ryan's centers with him! His teacher read, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. We painted his arm brown and his hands green to make a tree. Then Ryan and I put glue and sand on his paper. Then, Ryan colored a tree and stamped his name on it. He filled out a page with his first name and something that he likes that starts with an "R". Ryan picked robots. Then Ryan colored and cut out a coconut. After that, we went to the 5 Senses Center, where Ryan filled in sentences about a coconut and what he felt, saw, smelled, tasted and heard. After all the centers, we went on a scavenger hunt together where we found his teachers desk, the listening center, the books in his classroom, the computers, the blocks, the bathroom and sink, the outside door, his hook for his backpack and the office.
Then it was time for Jeremy and I to go and Ryan finished his day with recess!
So far, we have been out the door in the morning 15 minutes before the bus arrives. Ryan is so excited to ride the bus! We're not expecting the excitement to last all year, but we'll enjoy it while we can!
Have a great day!

Our Summer is Coming to an End!
We have enjoyed the past summer tremendously!
It was a big one for Ryan - he learned to ride a two-wheeler, he learned to swim and just recently (as in this evening) he learned to tie his shoes! Ryan also lost another tooth this past summer. That makes a total of 6 (3 naturally) :)!
Ryan and Mom enjoyed their trip to California and hopefully a mild winter...at least around Christmas...will let us enjoy a holiday season with our families.
We are gearing up for the school year! Ryan is excited about riding the bus...but not getting up early! Mom is going to teach Kindergarten at a private school and is very excited as well!
Jeremy is looking forward to finishing his last year at AFIT, while enjoying the time he has shared with his family!
Check back in a few weeks for pictures of Ryan's first day at Kindergarten! I'll try to hold the camera still through the tears! :)

Our Summer...so far
Hi!
We have been enjoying our summer so far! Jeremy has been off for the last two weeks during a break from AFIT. He starts his summer quarter on Monday. We are going to miss his AFIT assignment next spring when he starts a different job! We've enjoyed his breaks from work!
Ryan has ended his T-ball season and had such a great time! He also learned how to ride his two-wheeler that Santa gave him! This week he starts swim lessons and next week he'll go to a Sports Camp. He has been asking about his Sports Camp for weeks and is so very excited!
We hope you are all doing well!

Ryan's PreK Graduation
Hello Everyone!
We hope you are having a great weekend! We enjoyed watching Ryan's PreK Graduation on Wednesday! He did such a good job signing the songs they sang!
We had a couple t-ball games the last few days. Ryan has 4 more games and then the season is over. He is having a great time and is improving his skills!
Ryan enjoyed the day with our neighbors. It was Connor's 6th Birthday today so the family took Ryan bowling with them and then out for some ice cream. The boys came back and played basketball and guitar hero. Ryan loves playing with the boys next door.
We are enjoying the warmer weather!

It's up and running...
Hi!
We are entering a new world! I have been experimenting with the page. I am sure we'll get better as we do this more often!
We'll add pictures when we take more.
Our excitement right now, is watching Ryan play T-ball! He is also caring for two tadpoles! He named them Timmy and Tommy and is changing the water for the first time as we speak! :) He is doing a good job changing their water and making sure they have food! He uses his new blue chair to sit in front of the tadpoles and watch them swim around!
Saturday, we're having some friends over for a BBQ! We're excited to see all our friends - from the last time we were here and new ones we have made since then!
Ryan is having his PreK Graduation on Wednesday, May 28th! He is practicing hard at school for his big day!
Jeremy is anxious to get the boat out and fish with Ryan! It's been a cold, wet spring so hopefully later this week they can goof off!
Love you all!
